For many people, the world we live in is dark and cruel, mercy doesn't often show his face. Some creatures are misunderstood, some are hated, some are the object of disgust. Many are hated simply for the fact that they are in need of love.
Beauty can be found throughout the cursed earth, the glory of the sun and the moon - the beauty of a woman, or in the heart of a good man. It can also be found among the feared, and in the hope of the desperate.
Whether in sculpture, paint, or film it is my intention to capture the beauty in the despised, to value the unvalued, and honor the disrespected. It is my belief that the greatest love is often found in the most tragic of circumstances, when hope continues in the face of loss.
